People on Streets

Our poor neighbors.

You know my husband is Queens' greatest fan.

And he likes the one they did with  Bowie.

The last two days I've been the audience of my husband's piano playing of People On Streets, which is a gorgeous song....he's still working on it.

This our last dance.....

I am not allowed to record him to video, cuz he's still perfecting it, it's not an easy song to play.

As I wrap up this post, he's still playing it. So lovely.

But when he's happy with it, you can record and share with us?

The last time we were in Germany we in the town square and a man rolled. a grand piano out in to the street and started playing, people started filling his cup with coins. I don't remember what town we were in, maybe yours even. We gave home some, my husband played the piano from 12 years until he passed away at 69. My husband said anyone that worked hard enough to push a grand around deserved anise tip

Aarene, if he would admit he's satisfied...

Ellie, I saw someone playing a grand piano on a boardwalk outside in Wintertime in Dresden. Wonderful! Twice in 9 years I've seen a "barrel organ" being played (had to look that one up, that's not a common word). It's this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barrel_organ

I really hope he will let you share it with us when he's happy with it. I'm so sad about David Bowie. He's been around my entire life... it feels really weird to think he's gone. I'm going to watch Labyrinth this weekend (I have it on DVD) in memory of him. It's always been one of my favorite movies (love that you shared that picture from it). He will definitely be missed by a lot of people. :(
