Mara in faux cashmere

For my birthday last May my mom sent me an incredibly soft scarf. I was wearing it the other day and realized it might look good on Mara. I think I'll have her demo some of my other winter scarves as well. I'm not a typical scarf-wearing European, but I do have a few.

My photographer friend was in the area this week and stopped by. I talked her into walking up to the arena with me and taking some pics of Mara. She sent me one photo so far. I love how her tail has black in the middle. Chestnut tails are so interesting and multi-colored. I hope she sends me some more where you can see how she was gleaming in the sunlight. I just can't believe how shiny a horse can be even in Winter. Greys are exotic, but they simply don't reflect light. My photographer friend will undoubtedly throw away most of those photos due to the background - she doesn't like electric wires and crappy fences in the background. I understand. She also doesn't like the way Mara presents herself, she still trots around inverted.

Mara is so so pretty, she'd look good in anything being the diva that she is. I'm thinking that Bellis needs something in black with fringe. . .
