I'm Lytha from West Seattle, Washington. I moved to NRW, Germany in 2007 and married a wonderful German man who understands my love of horses and fulfilled my dream of living the last 2/3 of my life in the country, with my horse in my backyard.

Ooh, BAD Lytha! How did you do that and what did Baasha think of that? I think Scorch would walk right in if I left the door open.

I'm thinking your man, if he knew, would have had carrots sitting out for Baasha on the kitchen table :)

The horse who jumps in any trailer I point his nose toward had to be convinced to step in our house. I don't know why, maybe he doesn't trust the construction (floors). I don't either, so I just let him in, let him look around, and walked him out very cautiously. He was happy to get out of here! Maybe carpeting would have made him feel safer. Strange, I thought he would be curious, but maybe he is content to look in the windows on our inside world.

I will start to worry when you set him a place at the dinner table!
I knew a lady who did just that at a dinner party (she was unusually eccentric) complete with pony nuts for the beast, trouble was he coughed and the human guests got "croutons" in their soup.
Thats so funny..lol Are you already for Thanksgiving tomorrow??
how was it? ;)
I jsut found your blog and love it. I had to share the story of my horse going in the house. She was boarded at a friends house who has a ramp up to her front door and whose property is completly fenced and cross fenced. One during the summer when my horse was out my friend had her door open and was bringing in the groceries. She says she came out of the kitchen and my horse Hope was standing at the door to the kitchen looking in the grocery bags. Probably looking for carrots. LOL. My friend always brought back carrots when she went shopping so Hope came looking. She and I both wish that she had thought to take pictures.
