They say it could snow tomorrow, and it should get down to freezing tonight, so I went upstairs and got out Baasha's winter blanket.
I felt his ears before I put it on tonight, and although they were warm, he was grazing in a sunny pasture all day, and tonight is supposed to be different, much colder than previous nights.
I snugged on his blanket and tried to fasten the surcingles under his belly...and COULDN'T! He gained....how much weight this year?
I had to let the surcingles out 6 inches each!
Happiness.

Hooray for the good boy who has been happily eating grass all summer! Hooray that he's FAT (and fuzzy, too, I hope!)

Snow? *cough cough* Thats the stuff of nightmares round here ;)
Living in central Florida where it's high 80F today cold weather and snow sounds lovely ...having said that I constantly remind my husband "at least we don't have to shovel snow any more!"
