My vet answered me tonight, what I didn't really expect, since I'd never communicated with him via email before.
He said Tempelhof might be a very nice horse but is not able to work in our hilly region of Germany, due to his "extremely weak, sunken pasterns".
I'm very grateful to my vet for responding so soon and, I admit, for telling me what I thought I was gonna hear, even though I could not predict that. I am simply too uneducated in these things.
I emailed the owner with a very heartfelt sorry+vet's explanation and it was much easier than the times I've had to tell people "I just don't like your horse's ankles." (Remember that one?) This time I had a vet to tell me so.
I hated to do this, I really liked this horse. To me this was the best fit since Wiszi, and I felt even more at home on him due to his training level.
I feel less relieved at saying no to this one, and more apologetic.

What a shame.
Gosh darn it!
But, what a wonderful vet to respond so quickly!
Your horse will come!!!
That's too bad but it's good that the vet answered so quickly. Soon enough, your search will end with the correct horse.
Damn.
Sorry to hear that Lytha..

I'm sorry to read about your ride. It sounds like it might be a little overwhelming looking for a horse over in Germany.
That coupled with the fact that you so badly want to ride, and I think most people would have burst into tears after that experience.
No advice, just ((hugs)) from Wa.
Well drat!
Hang in there...
What a bummer :(
Shoot!! Its always something isnt it :(
Damn :(
That really sucks that it didn't work out. I really liked him from what you wrote and the pictures you posted. However it is better to face facts up front like you do/did than to get attached and have to deal with a broken down horse years from now. Hang in there. At least there's hope that a Standie might work for you. :D
