I got my pre-purchase exam results (and bill - *shudder*) today.
It is a very formal looking booklet with forms for all the different types of exams he did.
The mare "passed" in that there was nothing significant to report.
There were three main problem areas: the skin issue on her fetlocks (you can see this in the images), uneven incisors, and what you will now see very clearly in the x-rays,
Toes as long as Winter in Germany.
Thank you Mr. Vet, and thank you for telling the owners about the crappy farriery as well. (I am surprised she can carry me down the trail without tripping.)
Tomorrow I will send the owners a formal offer via post. It is woefuly short of their asking price, but it's all we can afford.
If they are insulted and decline, it wasn't meant to be.
I'm trying not to think about it. It's in God's hands.

I am praying that they do take your offer!
The Hands that you've left this in, are the best! :-)
Keep us posted ~
I'm not an expert by any means, but the coffin bone in those x-rays seems to have a tiny bit of rotation downward. I definitely could be wrong, but I agree, the horse definitely needs some good barefoot trimming.
Good luck.

Exciting!!! Hope it works out, but she sure does need a trimming.
Good luck with your offer!

You WILL keep us posted, right?
Wow! So this it? It seems so formal. Kind of like waiting to see if sellers accept an offer on their home.
Fingers crossed. Best wishes!

Oh I do hope they accept your offer. My fingers are crossed!
Hopefully a wonderful owner is as important to them as it would be to me...
You will be able to bring her feet back!!! With some good trimming!!! Get those shoes off!!! :0)
Goodness, your vetting is even more thorough than we would get in the UK! I hope this does work out, but you know that if it doesn't, HE has something even better up his sleeve.
"as long as Winter in Germany" - SNERK. Glad to hear there are no major problems with her! Fingers crossed for you - whatever happens is meant to be.
Keeping all fingers and toes crossed for you! Good luck!
WOW..think it looks good. I know you will have her barefoot and going towards a better angle soon.
