I'm Lytha from West Seattle, Washington. I moved to NRW, Germany in 2007 and married a wonderful German man who understands my love of horses and fulfilled my dream of living the last 2/3 of my life in the country, with my horse in my backyard.

Look at all that open space AKA GARDEN SPACE!!!!! I'm so excited.
Your pro tree people should be cutting the rounds into similar stove-lengths. That makes it easier to stack--and burn! Also, you will want to split the rounds at least in half (quarters are better) to let it dry for burning. Here's a good photo of a basic stack of wood: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cord_(unit)#/media/File:Cord_of_wood.jpg
WOW, you’ll be able to grow so much more! What do Bellis & Mags think of the chain saws & the sound of trees coming down? I recall Camryn being very alarmed.
Aarene, those guys know exactly how big wood stoves are, and they cut each piece in the correct length. Then we bought a wood splitter and...HEY, you have to wait for future chapters, it's coming up! Suffice it to say from that day in February, we are wood splitting and stacking experts now.
Camryn, Where were my animals that day? I forgot. I think they probably heard all that racket and simply stayed at pasture.
