You've seen dogs and horses react joyfully to a new snowfall. Have you seen it for a new rainfall?
It hasn't rained in about 8 weeks.
Today we got one good, hard rain that lasted about 15 minutes. Mag went completely crazy.
Have you ever seen a horse kicking at rain? A horse compulsively rolling in the still-dusty but now-damp ground, over and over and over, unable to stop? Leaping up from the ground and running as if his tail was on fire? The ground was still dusty because it wasn't enough rain, so despite the downpour, he was sending clouds of dust into the street.
I wish I could have captured it on camera.
He was twisting in the air, spinning around, and landing with enormous bucks, his hind hooves so high in the air I thought he'd break himself in two.
I have no idea what Bellis was doing during all this. Donkeys abhor moisture.
Mag was black with dust-mud and using 72 like he's never used it - weaving through the trees and then bucking repeatedly at the sky.
15 minutes of rain is not nearly enough for the crops and trees - we will be continuing to pray for more.

We got our rain, I'm ready to send some to you!
We have so much rain. I would happily send it!!!
It was like getting to take a shower again, and then you get to roll in the mud and get all dirty.
We had over .25" two-evenings in a row! Helpful, but we need more too.
