I'm Lytha from West Seattle, Washington. I moved to NRW, Germany in 2007 and married a wonderful German man who understands my love of horses and fulfilled my dream of living the last 2/3 of my life in the country, with my horse in my backyard.

That is such a cute photo.
He looks like Baasha in this pic, and he usually doesn't.
Hey! I get a star for *immediately* recognizing Mag when he's standing next to another grey horse. Bays all look unique to me, but I can only tell a few greys apart from the crowd--Baasha was one of them, and apparently Mag is another! Go, me.
In this picture, I also see the mare telling the younger horse how she expects to be treated: RESPECT, youngster. I don't know if she enforces it, but she's pretty clear about it here without being a b*tch. I see the same expression on the Dragon when she meets new companions (whom I always, regardless of age, introduce to her as BABY HORSES so she will put on her caretaking face, which I find so appealing).
Teresa, our horses always look their best when they're greeting other horses, I think.
Becky, I agree with you. I think I know why he looks so much like Baasha in this photo. Besides the fact that he's wearing Baasha's clothes and license plate *grin*. First, his forelock was dark a year ago, and looks like Baasha's did, exactly. Also he's got a Winter coat, where his face hair gets so thick it hides his bright pink nose. Then he's got his face angled just right to make his ears look larger and more shaped, and his face seems slightly thinner. I just realized I have a pic of Baasha that looks a lot like this, with the forehead whorl showing as well. Also, Mag's winter coat hides most of his scars.
Aarene, You got a star *lol*. Funny, I think all Germans look alike. I wonder what Fiddle would make of Mag. He turns 7 on Jan 1.
