You know the Yule Log? I love it so, and showed people at my last job how to enjoy it on their computers, since the Yule Log channel does not exist here.
I made a video of my animals grazing, and it might be almost as relaxing as the Yule Log, if you like horses. But it lacks holiday spirit. There are lots of insects and birds which add or detract from the mood. You can measure how much you love your animal by how many photos you have of it simply eating, as I always say.
The only interesting thing that happens is at 2.50? when a bug bites me and I exclaim something out loud and Mag comes right to me. It's tempting for me to think he noticed I was distressed and came to help, but of course that's nonsense. It is a cute moment though.

very calming. I don't mind the bugs. I don't think they can reach me anyhow!
I love the fireplace channel, we play it as long as its on, but ya for summer horses grazing would be just as good....or better :)
I love the sound of horses quietly grazing on grass or hay
Watching Mag & Bellis and listening to all the bug/bird noises is just lovely. Makes me smile and smile.
I think that is exactly what Mags did. He heard you make an exclamation and came to make sure you were okay.
Teresa,
I like it too, but only when they have healthy teeth. I spent so long listening to Baasha try to chew properly with only half his teeth working properly, that is a sad sound. Young teeth sure work better.
Karen,
I would love it if that were true, but I cannot fathom that he would feel protective of me yet. I'll be paying close attention to see if it happens again. He slipped and fell to his knees the other day and it broke my heart and I ran to him and comforted him so he definitely got to see my protective mode!
It's so quiet there :) Nice.
Curious, what was the exclamation exactly? I don't know any German bad words and should learn a few ;)
Fletch, it's so quiet that if we have J's sister house-sit, she cannot sleep at night because all you can hear is your own heart beating. West Seattle had such an array of night time noises - the fog horns for the ferries, the trains at the Duwamish, and, well, sirens. After living under Sea Tac most of my life, now when I visit, the sound of the engines revving sometimes scares me - I had forgotten that sound.
Fletch, you remember how I didn't cuss in English? I also do not in German, although cussing here is not nearly as bad, they say the S word in church! But as innocent as their S word is, I still won't say it. What I said in the film was "Oh Mann!" and I asked J what it means and he didn't know. I think it's the same as saying "oh man" in English. So sorry to disappoint you. So glad you look at my blog from time to time. Miss you!
Do you have an accent?? It's hard to tell because you didn't say much...
I LOVE the sound of horses grazing or just eating in general. It is so relaxing. I enjoy the birds and insects too. The cicadas here are so loud you can't hear people talking sometimes and that bother some people, but I like it. :D
