Small update on the "Morgan" mare

I got a nice email from daughter of the owner (the tall rider in my pics). I had asked about the possibility of getting papers or at least finding out who the mare's parents are. I know the breeder's name and saw pics of a stallion she has that could conceivably be the father (GHANDUR II, AV-5989/92, Rappe
v. GHORAB a. d. SAFIA, Hof 1994., Stockmass: 151 cm
). Of course now I'm dying to know. I don't know how I could stand to have a "supposedly purebred Arabian" without knowing who the parents are. I know the current owner claimed the mare in a debt that the breeder couldn't pay 5 years ago.

Here is her mail, poorly translated by me:

"I was very impressed that you know exactly what you want, not only what type of horse, but by the test ride. You really did your own thing and we can tell how the mare fits with you. I believe you are the right one for the horse. One could see how you began to communicate. Despite not knowing the mare very well, I want her to end up in good hands. That would be the case with you! I talked to my mom about getting her papers. It could be possible to get them even now, but I'm not sure. Anyway, one can find out who the parents are. My mom will look into it."

So far these people are too good to be true. Thanks for being with me in this journey, and thanks for the prayers.

Oh I hope this works out, also would be nice to get her papers. They seem like really nice people, really looking for a good home.

Sorry bout the second comment, but just made me think, maybe you should rename her Morgan ;)

The names in her "possible pedigree" sound like Tolkein names to me!

I suppose that naming her "Gimli" is out?
