Beatles meet Queen: Around the Piano in Bellevue, Washington, USA

One of the things I was daydreaming about before my visit to America was the day that we spent with my sister and her family gathered around the piano, as my man played whatever they wanted - which we'd learned, was gonna be Beatles, cuz the kids think the Beatles are the epitome of pop music. But my man is the quintessential Queen fan, who can play any Queen song on the piano, and I have since learned to enjoy songs outside the Highlander film set.

I got my wish - and I think the kids will remember and cherish this day as I have.

Note the kiddypool with 3 chairs inside. I asked the kids to set this up for me because it was bloody hot out. You can imagine how quickly my nephew with a hose with nozzle obliged. We all took turns in those chairs, bathing our feet in the cool water.
We also threw the ball for the dog until we could throw no more.
Also, the pics show my niece Elise drawing a horse in chalk on her skateboard - I think this is after I drew a big chalk horse lying down on my parents' driveway. She shows me here that she can do a lying down horse too.

My sister and her husband were singing using the cd lyric sheets at first, and then as the songs progressed into discs they did not own, they went to their android and sang from lyrics there. The kids sang and drummed the table and it was an awesome time.

A truly precious memory for me. The kids wanted to be in close contact with me, including, Christian draping his legs over mine on the floor, and Elise cuddling up to me during a song, Beatles disc in hand.   It moved from Beatles to Queen (at which point the skill of the pianist increased noticably, *lol*). But for the most part, this evening was owned by the Beatles.

You're husband is good on the piano! Was he using sheet music or does he have them memorized? I always have to have the sheet music in front of me. Horrible memory lol. Sounds like you guys had an awesome visit. :D
