Not happening in Seattle

Seattle drivers do not heed these signs, and driving here is aggravating! Every lane is full of cars all going the exact same speed, as if in formation. Agh, get over if you're not passing! This happens even in the carpool lane. There is no order here. As if arriving at a destination is a potential result of driving, not the goal. I also get the feeling I have to watch out for other cars' intentions a lot more, that I cannot trust them. I will be raving about American awesomeness in the next few posts, but this is one thing Germany does best: order on the roads.

I am having a great time on my vacation and totally thrilled at the overwhelming niceness of the people here. It's almost scary, how nice grocery employees are, it's as if they're having a contest, who can be the friendliest.

I've been with family mostly this week, and loving it. I am not too happy about the weather: Sunny, brilliant, crisp (as opposed to humid), and about 80 every day. This is too warm for me, but there's AC everywhere so easy to escape.  I'm hoping for some grey skies but I'm not sure I'll see them.

I have some highlights to share but I'll do it later with some photos (my mom loaned me a camera - my broken one is gonna get thrown through a Best Buy window when I get around to that).

For now, I'll just express my sentiments about the way we native Seattleites drive. Abysmally!

P.S. - My man just found HGTV on my parents' TV.  Now we're enjoying our favorite channel.
P.P.S. - BLUE ANGELS TOMORROW!

Cringing, because, honestly, I am one of those who won't move! Now, to clarify myself, I don't stay in the slow lane, I usually stay one lane over, or if I have enough people, I will get in the car pool lane.
I run at the speed limit, and damned if I feel obligated to move over for someone who breaks the law. If there is only two lanes, I will stay in the slow lane, unless I need to pass.

The one thing I took away from Germany driving wise, is I really hate someone passing me on the right... No one did that in Germany! Good news is, I rarely go anywhere, lol, so you won't be cursing at me out there, :)
Though, I would love to go see the Blue Angels... Would love to get some photos of them. Its not going to happen though this year....
I did go to the first day of JBLM's air show ( oh how much I dislike that it is now Joint base, blah!) Made the mistake of borrowing a Nikon...never take a camera that you are unfamilar with if you are wanting good pictures..I ended up using auto settings, since I had issues with figuring out how to change the settings...oops.

Wow sunny and eighty with little humidity sounds awesome! That's like my perfect dream day LOL! I'm so tired of it being over 100F. It's over ninety degrees by 9AM!!

I'm glad you're enjoying you're trip. I agree about traffic. It sucks lol. And like someone else said I despise someone passing me on the right. It makes me so uncomfortable. Especially went they put the pedal to the floor to try to get around you using the slow lane right as it's ending! Eek!
