It didn't take long and I wanted to be there when Baasha discovered the fence is on again.
Careful Baasha. 10,000 volts!
The cat also witnessed his lack of concern for the fence wire.
He was reaching under the fence and leaning his neck on it - I couldn't believe how long it took for him to get shocked but when he finally did he was so upset!
I'm not sure he even knows what happened, but since he was staring at the fence, I hope he put it together that it was the fence that did that, and not an act of God.
He tossed his head and tossed his head and just kept tossing it up and down like "WTH!"
He cantered and trotted back and forth, stopping to stare and toss his head some more.
The cat wondered what was the matter - she's never seen him act up and she walked right up to him like "What, horse?"
I hung out longer on my chair to watch and he settled down but when I went to leave he neighed and galloped right to my side.
He does not want to be left down there with the evil fence. But he wasn't too sure about the fence here either.
I followed him back up the hill to the hang.
He stood there staring at me on full alert. I sure wish I knew what he was thinking here. Is he glad I made it, or does he blame me for what happened?
I turned to go into the house and he was still staring at me. What do you make of this expression? Wish I could read his mind.
Finally he went into the stall to eat hay where it's safe. I sure hope he doesn't lose his nerve about the grazing strips. I've taken him off the main pasture because the hay is on its way and I cannot find the manure out there anymore to clean it up. It was likely this change to grazing strips that made him squeeze under the fence this morning.

He's thinking: "WHAT? I was being naughty! It's my job to be naughty and look cute doing it! Ask the cat, she'll tell you it's my job!"
I think he's saying, "Mom, that thing bit me... and you just stand there? Aren't you going to give me some attention or at least tell that fence how bad it is?"
Man he is a gorgeous horse! It's so green over there too!
I have no idea what he's thinking, but he looks gorgeous doing it. You captured some great photos of Baasha. Poor boy, sometimes lessons can be a little painful.

ps I love those beautiful roof tiles, especially the ones on the left, with the 'diamonds'. Why do some tiles have them and some don't. The pattern is so unique and pretty. What are the tiles made of?
bah! Not the left...the right. :P

He sure looks like he was suprised by the fence! I often wish I could know what they are thinking.
I am so sorry that Baasha got out and now has to be shocked. Poor honey. Those photos do look sad, like he is worried and confused. But, that is SO much better than something worse if he got out and got injured.
Your account of the hippie place in the last post is really funny. I wonder how Baasha got inside there!?
Wish my horse respected hot fence...
But he looks super healthy and well-filled out!
