I wanted to participate in Literary Horse's Falling in Love with our Horses theme, but you've already heard my story, so I'll just post pictures that cover some of the 22 years.Baasha al-Sherif is my first and only horse. I have had him longer than I have not had him, and I cannot imagine living life without him.
I love him more than any earthly thing.

I know the history of you and Baasha going to Germany, and that you used to compete over here in the PNW, but, no, I DON"T know about how the two of you found each other, and how you fell in love...
Awww gorgeous photos. He's such a beautiful boy. I didn't know you'd had him for twenty two years. That's awesome. I wish I hadn't given up my childhood Appy pony because this year would have been sixteen years together (she's 21), but I had no choice at the time. I miss her. Thanks for sharing.

I have had my horse, Cruiser, for 21 years, and there is no way to describe such a relationship. I know what you are talking about. He is part of me.

I knew that you'd had him 20some years but I haven't heard the "how we met" story. At least not that I can remember.

I've had my Cessa half my life, 18 years, and roughly 2/3 of hers (she's 30)
Baasha and the Space Needle, now that got my attention. How did you get him anywhere near there??

Wow, what a great post! Baasha is a lovely horse. I especially like the photos with the dog, and the close up of you kissing him, and oh so many others!! You have had a truly wonderful journey together, haven't you?
