I dreamt it snowed. When I woke up, it had. Thankfully not much.
Baasha still seeks out the muddiest spots to roll, and tries his best to coat himself entirely, ears included.
I cannot wait to have a clean horse again someday.
Kind of like waiting for there to be a day with no chance of snow.
This increasingly hypothetical date is not today.

He looks happy though.
OHA! and i was worried about how you would think about me when you see dirty baasha and the dirty blue blanket...
hahaha! this is the advantage of snow! it's just frozen water... no mud.
thank you for the (partly very interesting) tea and the scarf!
Sonja
Ok, you win. I have some pictures of Dixie from earlier this week post-ride that I won't even put up because she's so grody... but Baasha has her beat. I might post Dixie's to share your pain.
I had to laugh at you posting these pics of Baasha sporting his winter mud wear. Like Funder, I've avoided using some pics because of how grody (perfect word btw) the horses looked.
I, too, long for some different (and by different I mean warmer) weather.
Sorry about no horse names on those particular posts but you get why. The pics on each post are the horses talked about in each post. The bay gelding sold to YW is Chase, Bey Aana's first, you can see Percy and Patriot in his sweet face. The one with the wild white marking is Chance. He is one of Faye's babies. I think you can see the forlorn look in Chance's eyes by those pics. Hope that helps.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend and stay warm!
Love the dished face :)
FV, i was thinking today how if my horse lived in a totally mud-free area he would suffer mentally. he sure loves to be slobby.
sonja, the scarf is from mary, she wanted to say thank you for letting us to to america this christmas. we would not have gone if you had not said yes, you know.
funder, i was wondering if baasha would win the dirtiest horse contest. i hate that he is in the top 10 for this at least. WHP gave me the idea to post mud horse photos, after looking at brena. please post dixie's photos and we can get a yuckiest horse contest really going! chestnuts and bays are excluded because they don't showcase grunge like ours do.
mikael, one of the bay photos i thought was percy! it's good to finally have names, thank you.
frau, thank you, everything seems to be going right for me today. i should buy a lotto ticket.
dom, although he's mostly egyptian, he doesn't have the fine features they are known for. but i'm happy to hear it.
He's looking good this winter! (aside from the mud) And his tail is pretty clean.
OK, if I dream of snow in Scottsdale, will I wake up to it!?
