I haven't been posting because I've been so busy working out at the house, and since I've been in the house, not the barn or fields, it's not horse related, so I don't blog here. At least, until my man says the horse can actually live with us in the house, then painting and tearing down wallpaper will actually be horse related.
Baasha has tangles in his mane and looks like a hobo, but he's so happy living the easy life with his little minion Ronni. They just eat and watch the world go by all day. There are always dogwalkers and sledders in the field next to them. We still have no running water in the barn, so we're still borrowing from a neighbor's bathroom to get them water. *sigh*

hehehe horse in the house...hehehehe... I love it....!! ;)
Bet the house looks fantastic though!
Did you ride Baasha home yet?
That little house has so much character. I love it!
You could always make an exception to your 'horsey blog' rule, you know. We wouldn't mind.
I wanted to aske you...does "Mein Sohn" mean mine or Yours?
I bet you are busy with the house!

Who's the minion? how did I miss that, do you have another horse?! And: I want to hear how you are fixing up the house! so don't hesitate to post about that - it's all good.
Mrs. Mom - the house will look fantastic when I've taken a paintbrush to many of the rooms. I thought I'd just touch up the scuffed areas, but no, I'm gonna do it all. I have paint speckles all over my watch, so I can barely see the time.
FV - We're actually not living there til middle March - things move very slowly in Germany. I'll try to post a little about the house interspersed with horsey talk. Thanks: )
All horse stuff - Mein Sohn means my son. My brother in law asked me if I call him "old man" cuz he's almost 24, but no, that would imply I'm old enough to have an old man as a son. He'll be my baby til he's too old to trot.
Flying Lily - Oops, we don't live there yet, the minion is just Ronni. Ronni has been offered to me as a "loaner" when the owner is away at endurance rides or on riding vacations. Uh, no thanks. I don't need a mannerless escape artist to endear myself to my new neighbors!
Hey there!
I haven't been by lately as I have been quite busy but I was reading back andI may have an idea for you for transfering the money from one bank to another. What if you set up 2 PayPal accounts? One with your American account and one with the German account and then you would just have to 'pay' yourself. I don't know if the fees are higher between foreign accounts or if they even have PayPal in Germany (I would assume so) but it may be something to check into!
Good Luck!!
P - we tried that - Paypal had issues with it for some reason. We really did try Paypal, oh well. What we found does work, is getting 500 euros per day from a cash machine! Funny huh? My bank only charges a 5$ fee per withdrawal. Now I get my fence!
Yes, please feel free to blog about anything, even it's not horse related. I enjoye reading about your experiences in Germany, even when they include house remodeling or cutting blackberry brambles. Post away freely, my dear.
So, do you think you'll have to bring Ronni home with you, too?
