The Pacific Crest Trail through Mt Adams is the prettiest place I've ever ridden. Princess Buttercup, the mare I leased for 6 years, was totally unimpressed and just wanted to eat the long grass. The little ponds were full of singing frogs, and there were colorful alpine flowers all around us. I was all alone here with the mare, and couldn't believe such a pretty place exists. It was worth the 9 hour drive from Seattle!
First of all we had to cross a raging stream, that the mare took one look at and said "OMGOSH, I can't!" and I said, "OK I believe you!" and then we had to, so we did. It looked like certain death, but it was actually OK. She was so annoyed in this picture, that I was holding her head up so she couldn't eat. Poor thing!

Wow that is some impressive scenery. Lack of transport stops us from exploring further, and lack of finances stops us getting transport...such is life.
